After former Primal Scream guitarist Robert Young's publicist confirmed today that he has died, many musicians have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to him.
The guitarist's formed bandmate Mani revealed the news on the group's forum yesterday, and both his publicist and a police spokesperson have confirmed it.
Following the announcement, musicians including Oasis' Liam Gallagher and The Charlatans' Tim Burgess have posted their tributes on Twitter.

Young founded Primal Scream with school friend Bobby Gillespie thirty years ago, in 1984, and the group subsequently had hits with songs such as 'Movin' On Up'
