The records that outraged the world (and did well because of it)
Tags: George Michael, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne
Today (15 September) marks the 30 year anniversary of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Relax' becoming the longest running chart hit in UK history, spending 43 years in the top 40.
Despite the song being a bonafide classic, it would be fair to say the controversy around the raunchy track no doubt contributed to its success, with the BBC banning the record and DJ Mike Read famously referring to its lyrical content as 'obscene' before removing it from air half through playing it.
Since then, countless other records have caused similar outrage around the world, here are 13 of the most controversial tracks to be banned.
