Pixies have unveiled the new video for their song 'Silver Snail' - and it really is exceptionally bizarre.
The song is taken from the band's recent album Indie Cindy, which was the band's first album since the release of Trompe le Monde 23 years ago.
The video sees a man pulling a sack attached to a rope along a snowy landscape, attempting to escape from a cohort of masked creatures. The creatures eventually capture him and carry him back to a desolate building... which is where it gets too confusing to explain.
We think there might be a twist ending, but we just need to watch it another 67 times to be sure we've really understood.

In a statement about the video, Black Francis said: "We've always liked the idea of working with young, up-and-coming, independent film makers, as we think that their energy and vision would probably best compliment what we've tried to do with our music.
"Consequently, we've really had very little creative input in this new 'Silver Snail' video or any of the others that have been made for the 'Indie Cindy' project. I think the only direction we've given any of those who have made a music video for us this time was just to be as creative and innovative as they want - no barriers."
Pixies are set to play a host of UK festivals this summer, including Field Day, Glastonbury, Eden Sessions and T In The Park. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
