Good news for music fans heading to the inaugural edition of Obonjan Festival - after a week's delay that left many visitors having to claim refunds for their flights, the issue with power and water has now been resolved.
The festival, created by the team behind Hideout and Unknown, was set to take place over the course of six weeks on a previously uninhabited island off the coast of Croatia, with visitors able to stay for as long as they wanted.
The likes of Shura, Gold Panda, Anderson .Paak, Kate Tempest, Jessy Lanza, and Akala were set to perform, with DJ sets (some of them poolside) from Four Tet, Cosmo, Gerd Janson, Horse Meat Disco and more.
Those who decided to arrive for the opening week, though, were hugely disappointed to find that it had been postponed for “at least” a week “as the island is currently without running water or electricity.”
It’s not all bad news though - the festival has promised to refund flights for those who had booked to arrive in the opening week, and has released a second statement saying the issues have been resolved.
Obonjan’s newly rescheduled opening date is now Friday 5 August. Get more information here.
