Though it’s already seen its fair share of stars - including Adele, Stevie Wonder, Gwen Stefani, Sia and One Direction - there are two who have so far proven illusive for James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. Beyonce and Kanye West.
Thankfully, it looks like the former could well be appearing on the Late Late Show segment some time soon. Speaking to GQ, Corden said of his dream karaoke guest, “Beyoncé. It would break the Internet. She’s on tour right now. We’re working on it.”
”Beyonce. It would break the internet.”
Unfortunately though, Kanye West has cancelled on Corden - who began hosting the US talk show last year, replacing Craig Ferguson - twice. “He’ll do it eventually,” he insisted. “He wants to do it.”
He also revealed that West had sent “about three dozen white roses, of course. Arranged in the shape of a cube. What could be more Kanye than that?”
The segment has proven one of the most popular parts of Corden’s show, alongside Drop the Mic, a pretty cringeworthy celebrity rap battle.
The most popular Carpool Karaoke so far is Adele’s, which has been viewed on YouTube more than 120 million times. It’s followed by Justin Bieber, with a measly 87 million.
