Duo Cat's Eyes - comprised of The Horrors' Faris Badwan and soprano Rachel Zeffira - have released the supremely creepy video to their new track 'Requiem'. Watch it below.
Lifted from their soundtrack for new film The Duke Of Burgundy, directed by the acclaimed Peter Strickland, the video is shocking and intruiging in equal parts - it puts the viewer in the position of a peeping tom in a church, sneaking around corners and exploring the church and all its contents in depth.
The camera begins to explore things - statues, tunnels, and disturbingly, various orifices, spliced with various other shots to create a storm of images. Though squeamish and pretty freaky, its engrossing. Congratulations to Zeffira, who solely filmed and directed the video in its entirety.

The track is beautifully melancholic - Zeffira's voice is clear and pure as crystal, and the strings are impeccable, particularly in the opening of the song. The song is incredibly cinematic, classical with overtones of religion due to the haunting sound of choral singing and the use of an organ. Hugely befitting a video based in a church. It sets the tone for the rest of the soundtrack as classical, traditional and flawless.
'The Duke Of Burgundy' is in UK cinemas now. The soundtrack is available out now on Rough Trade.
