If you've been captivated by the glacial pop of Say Lou Lou, or fallen in love with the brilliant debut album from MO, then Brooklyn based White Prism is another new name you need to know in 2014.
The brainchild of singer/songwriter Johanna Cranitch, White Prism specialises in sweet, laid-back and ethereal electropop, but the rising star has stripped things back for a superb cover version of Kate Bush's 'Never Be Mine' - which she has today premiered on Gigwise. Listen below first.
Sounding uncannily similar to the elusive British pop superstar, White Prism's cover of The Sensual World track is a crisp, fresh take on 'Never Be Mine', originally release in 1989 and still packing the same emotional punch 25 years later. Listen to White Prism's Kate Bush cover below.
White Prism has previously performed with Foxes and MO, and has recently completed a tour with former Cardigans frontwoman, Nina Persson. After picking up critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian and Clash, she releases her self-titled EP in the UK on 24 March 2014.
