Ahead of their summer world tour, The National have unveiled their cover of 'Morning Dew' from their upcoming Grateful Dead tribute album.

The band have curated the upcoming compilation Day of the Dead, due for release on 20 May in aid of the Red Hot Organization. With a running time of six hours and 59 tracks, it features appearances from The War On Drugs, Jenny Lewis, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, Bonnie Prince Billy, The Walkmen, The Flaming Lips, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and many more.

The National's cover stays true to the spirit of the original, but still succeed in wrapping it in their own unique embrace of bittersweet melancholy and warming tones.

Meanwhile, The National are set to headline Latitude, performing alongside the likes of Maccabees, New Order, Chvrches, M83, John Grant, Father John Misty and many more.

Latitude Festival takes place from 14 to 17 July at Henham Park, Suffolk. See the full musical line-up so far below, and get tickets and more information here.
