After his double-win of Best Album and Best British Male at the 2015 BRIT Awards, Ed Sheeran took the time to honour Royal Blood, Sam Smith and George Ezra backstage.

"I wanted to start quoting Gladiator, 'father to a murdered son'," he said about picking up his award from Russell Crowe.
He continued: "Giving out one statue to one person feels a bit weird. I mean, Royal Blood have done so much for British rock music, Paolo Nutini's done incredible and gone double-platinum, George Ezra's gone triple-platinum with millions sold - everyone in the album category has done so well.
"It's funded the next wave of people. Everyone who's just been signed by record labels are funded by all of these people selling records. I was funded by Plan B, Plan B was funded by James Blunt, James Blunt was funded by The Darkness - it's a thing that keeps on going."
Check out our video above, with Sheeran honouring Sam Smith, discussing what it means to win, what he thought of Kanye's performance, what to expect from his Wembley shows, and delivering a message to his fans before answering the question: 'WHO IS DEIRDRE?'
