Nine-time GRAMMY Award-winner, Golden Globe nominee and multi-platinum selling artist Mary J. Blige, who has sold over 50 million albums and 25 million singles worldwide, unveils her brand new single 'Thick of It' through Capitol/Island Records.

The song, co-written by Jazmine Sullivan, heralds the impending arrival of Blige’s much anticipated new album, Strength of a Woman, which is said to feature a track with Kanye West.

Speaking about the new song Blige says: “This song is so personal it’s almost painful to let it out. I don’t hold back though, it’s not who I am and there’s no way I am going to start changing now. We all deal with love and the emotions that we get tangled up in, and we gotta survive, grow and remain honest to our best selves. I feel that with this song and it’s the first one off this album I’ve been immersing myself in for two years now. Music just saves me no matter what in life is happening.”

Fans of the much loved superstar, widely regarded as the greatest voice of her generation, can see and hear Blige perform, as only she can, when she arrives in the UK at the end of this month for her King + Queen of Hearts World Tour, co-headlining with Maxwell.
