Depeche Mode's Martin Gore has announced details of a new solo album under the name MG, alongside a beautiful track from it. Listen below.
Gore, who is the primary songwriter for Depeche Mode, released his debut solo album, Counterfeit², back in 2003. His new self-titled LP is his first under the moniker MG.
The first track from the instrumental album, which is out in April, is the poignant, cinematic 'Europa Hymn'.

The album was recorded at Gore's home studio in Santa Barbara, California. In a press release, Gore said, "I wanted to keep the music very electronic, very filmic, and give it an almost sci-fi like quality. Music is a necessity for me. I go into the studio at least five days a week, every week, so once I had the idea and the template, the process was quick and fun."
Gore's self-titled solo album is due for release on 28 April. See the full tracklisting below.
