Slipknot's lead vocalist Corey Taylor has revealed to having been asked to take part in VH1's Reality TV Show 'Rock Of Love'.
Rock Of Love is a reality dating show, based around Bret Michaels of Poison fame, giving women the chance to compete against each other to go on a date with him. In a recent interview with Seattle radio station, KISW (via Blabbermouth), Corey Taylor admitted to being asked about replacing Michaels on the show.
'I wanna say about seven years ago, I got called about being on 'Rock Of Love'. I think Bret had passed on it, on one of the seasons. And I was like 'Don't ever call me again.' Taylor explained.
He went on to say; 'Honestly I was sitting there... I was like [trying to figure out] who in their right mind thought I was the perfect dude for 'Rock Of Love 12' or whatever the hell it was. And I was just, like, there's some idiots in this business. I'm just letting you know. I don't know if you got that memo. There's some stupid people [who] were given the keys to the kingdom.'
Taylor went on to speak about a meeting he had with his manager when the offer came his way; 'I was talking to my manager. I was, like, 'Where the hell...? What conversation were they having where they went from one end to me? How the hell did you get to me and thought that I would be down with that? At first I was pissed, and then I just started laughing my... I was just, like, 'You've gotta be kidding me! Really?!'

After a few moments thinking, Taylor then had a realisation of how he could've ruined the show, if he had been thinking at the time; 'In retrospect, I was, like, 'Man, I should have just done one week and just ruined it. [I should done] the complete opposite of what could have been and just destroyed these people's dreams'.
