Residents of Charlestown, Co Mayo in Ireland were surprised as the Oasis frontman rocked up with his guitar to play a surprise set for punters at JJ Finan's pub last Sunday afternoon (July 26).
The pub is frequented by many local musicians endemic to the west coast of Ireland. Footage of the gig has since emerged.
Liam G performed what seems to be an unheard track, which included the lyrics: "Yes I know, I've been wrong/ Didn't do what I was told/ Yes I know I've been wrong/ Didn't do what I was told/ I ain't looking for no 9-5/ Sick of wasting all my precious time/ Cos it's alright /Cos it's alright now".
During the song he manages to take a swing or at least namecheck his brother Noel, referencing his 2015 solo effort Chasing Yesterday: "When I wake up and I hear you say/ There's no love worth chasing yesterday".
We're sure it won't be long until we hear a sharp response from Noel.

Reports earlier this year suggested that Liam was working on a solo record to match his brother's High Flying Birds, this rumour was dispelled by a spokesperson.
In other Gallagher news, Noel recently dominated Latitude festival with a career spanning set, playing the best of old and new.
