Plans to revive The Osbournes, the reality TV show that paved the way for the reality-filled world in which we now live, have been scrapped.
The show, which documented the chaotic life and family of Black Sabbath's Ozzy Osbourne, and made household names out of Sharon, Jack and Kelly, originally aired from 2002 to 2005. The Osbourne's third child, Aimee, wisely refused to take part in the show.
On the tenth anniversary of its original end date, the show was scheduled to be revived for a six to eight episode run by VH1, but Susan Levison, the channel's Executive VP of Original Programming and Production, has revealed that negotiations broke down.
"We are no longer talking to the Osbournes about a series; that’s not going to happen," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "We wish we could have worked it out, but it just didn’t come together for us. The family has been absolutely lovely and we wish them the best. We’d love to figure out a way to work with them at some point in the future."
Meanwhile, Black Sabbath recently cancelled their "farewell" Japan show, with Ozzy Osbourne now set to appear alone.
