A wave of 30 new artists, including Sunset Sons and Elli Ingram, have been added to the Liverpool International Music Festival bill set to take place in August.
This second wave of artist will join the likes of Katy B, Naughty Boy and Bipolar Sunshine at Sefton Park, along with headliners Basement Jaxx, Labrinth and Echo & The Bunnymen (accompanied by the Philarmonic Orchestra).
The festival is part of Europe's biggest free music event LIMF Summer Jam. Other artists recently added to the line-up include Zak Abel (who recently collaborated with Gorgon City), JP Cooper, BBC Radio 1's Phil Taggart, Holy Thursday and a collaboration called SA to UK: Arts & Activism which sees two artists from South Africa and two artists from Liverpool visit each other's countries.
The five day event will see the city's venues paying host to a heritage of the city's history. These include The Revolution Will Be Live: A Tribute To Gil Scott Heron featuring Yasmin Bey (Mos Def), and a collaboration between Nashville's The Bluebird Cafe and Motown legend Lamont Dozier.
Liverpool International Music Festival takes place from 27-31 August. For more information, visit here.
