Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Duff McKagan and Jimmy Page are coming together to support the ‘Let a Bear Sh!t in the Woods’ campaign.

Despite the humorous title, it is a serious campaign that hopes to end bear bile farming. As the campaign’s website explains, around 10,000 moon bears are currently being confined in horrific cages on bear bile farms throughout Asia. They “cannot enjoy the most basic of bear behaviours”. They hope to end bile farming and to let bears “do what they were born to do… in the woods.”

In addition to Anthony Kiedis, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Duff McKagan and Jimmy Page, Simon Le Bon and Moby are also taking part in the campaign, along with Steve-O, Matt Lucas, Ricky Gervais, Olivia Newton John and Ali MacGraw.

The celebrity backers feature in a short tongue-in-cheek film directed by former model Shaina Danziger and photoshoots shot by rock photographer Katarina Benzova. While the campaign officially launches on May 13, you can view a video clip from the RHCP frontman below.
