Garbage have marked the 17th anniversary of their album Version 2:0 - by issuing a public health warning to fans about the commemorative condoms that came out at the time.
To mark the massive and classic single 'I Think I'm Paranoid' from the record, the band fittingly released some rather amusing condoms too.
Seeing as it's more than likely the condoms are well passed expiry, the band have taken to their Facebook page to issue a tongue-in-cheek warning, avoiding the guilt of unwanted pregnancy among fans:
"Attention all garbage fans! This is a public health warning: Our album Version 2:0 turned 17 years old today. As a result of this knowledge I think it fair to surmise that the garbage condoms that came out around the same time are NO LONGER a reliable means of birth control.
"They may however still be of use when blown up as an emergency use beachball. Thanks to @garbagebuzz for bringing this alarming turn of events to our attention."
Meanwhile, Garbage will be marking their 20th anniversary with two shows at Brixton Academy this November. Dates are below, and for full dates and ticket details visit here.
