The Courteeners have announced two warm up shows in Liverpool and Leeds in the run-up to their massive Heaton Park show and summer festival dates.
The Manchester group sold out the 20,000 capacity Heaton Park in one hour back in November which has been previously headlined by Manc heroes The Stone Roses and Oasis. The news initiated a swell of fan response as well as leaving frontman Liam Fray left overwhelmed by the speedy sales.
The four-piece have now announced two dates in June before their biggest show at Heaton on June 5, the dates are as follows:

2 Leeds O2 Academy
3 Liverpool O2 Academy
5 Heaton Park, Manchester
Tickets for the additional shows will go on sale this Friday (May 15). The group will also be playing at a number of festivals this summer including Isle of Wight, T in the Park and V Festival. For tickets and more information, click here.
