Wait a minute. M83 have just announced a new album. The 'Midnight City' band, whose last record was 2011's awesome Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, have also announced a hand ful of festival tour dates in 2016.
Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Nine Inch Nails' former drummer, who was a part of Hurry Up, tweeted yesterday (17 December): "A new M83 album is now finished. I'm very happy with it."

Meanwhile, Anthony Gonzales, who scored 2013's Oblivion soundtrack, also collaborated with Haim, The Killers and Jean-Michel Jarre, has also given an interview with Entertainment Weekly about the new album. He's described the project as a “very strong album with a lot of eclecticism”.
Gonzales said, "It's very epic. There’s a lot of different genres that are not supposed to live together but I tried to make them live together, which is quite challenging. It’s also quite different from the previous albums which is what I’m the most proud of.”
The new album, which is set to drop sometime in the new year, also has a lot of influences fro 70s and 80s sitcoms Punky Brewster, and Who's The Boss. “I feel like TV shows are starting to sound and look the same. There’s no more passion anymore. So this album is a tribute to those old-fashioned shows.”
"It’s more fun and fresh than my last album," he added. "But it’s good to take your listeners into a different maze, you know?"
