Albert Hammond Jr has announced details of his third solo album, Momentary Masters and is streaming the new single 'Born Slippy' which you can hear below.
The Strokes guitarist has released two albums alongside his band duties, and a successful solo EP in 2013 initialed AHJ. He has seemingly brought the sonics and feel from the EP into his new full-length, judging by the single 'Born Slippy'. The bass and drum driven track is filled with his slinky-trademark guitar riffs, whilst retaining some 80s influence explored by his solo work and in recent Strokes output.
Momentary Masters will be released July 31 on Vagrant, and features Gus Oberg as producer. This is his first release away from bandmate Julian Casablanas' label Cult records. The tracklisting is as follows:
1. 'Born Slippy'
2. 'Power Hungry'
3. 'Caught By My Shadow'
4. 'Coming to Getcha'
5. 'Losing Touch'
6. 'Don’t Think Twice'
7. 'Razors Edge'
8. 'Touché'
9. 'Drunched In Crumbs'
10. 'Side Boob'
