Adele will say ‘Hello’ again to the Brit Awards in 2016 as she returns to the ceremony with a live performance. The global phenomenon, whose new album ‘25’ has sold more than five million copies in the calendar year, last graced the event in 2011.
The Brit school graduate is the first performer to be confirmed for next year’s ceremony – taking place on 24 February. Adele has won three Brit awards in her career so far, including one for Best British Album in 2012.
In a statement, Brit chairman Max Lousada said: “You couldn’t get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and The Brits are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future.”
Adele was responsible for one of the awards’ most memorable live performances, when she delivered a stunning rendition of ‘Someone Like You’ in 2011.

Her acceptance speech in 2012 also turned heads, but for slightly different reasons, after she gave the middle finger to presenter James Corden for cutting off her acceptance speech to introduce closing performers, Blur.
The megastar's last UK televised appearance came at the weekend when she performed her incredible hit single 'Hello' at the X Factor final.
Meanwhile, reports have confirmed that the second single from Adele’s record-breaking 25 will be ‘When We Were Young’.
