Profosser Stephen Hawking is due to make an appearance at this year's Glastonbury Festival on the Kidz Field.

The world famous physicist will deliver a speech as a special guest on the Kidz Field this year, which will also be graced by the likes of magician Dynamo in the latest line-up released for the area aimed towards children.

Other kiddy performances will come from Children's TV show Milkshake! Live and Cebeebies presenters Alex Winters and Katy Ashworth. There will also be children's theatre from Golden Cowpat, DNA Theatre's Chicken Lickin and Rhubarb Theatre's Bookworms.

It is unclear whether Stephen Hawking will be showcasing any of his musical talents which he delved into last year when he appeared on Pink Floyd's return The Endless River, he is instead more likely to deliver a speech which has been a feature at Glastonbury in recent years. Last year Vivienne Westwood delivered a talk and the Dalai Llama is set to grace Pilton Farm this year as well.

Hawking will join the likes of The Who, Kanye West, Foo Fighters and Paul Weller at the Somerset event taking place between 26-28 June.
