Reports have emerged today which point towards the angsty frontman reforming Oasis with minus main songwriter Noel Gallagher.
The Sun has reported Liam Gallagher is going to reform Oasis with original members Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan and Tony McCarrol which was the line-up in place for Oasis' glory years in the early 90s, but without the band's lead songwriter.
After weeks of back and forth between the siblings, Noel continues to remain opposed to Liam's definitive 'yes' to a reunion. This spat started after reports emerged of the pair coming to a gentlemen's agreement back in March which was dismissed by Noel, now it seems Liam is set to compensate for the songwriter's absence:
A source told the newspaper: "It's very early days but the wheels are in motion. Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead and Tony are all interested and keen to see how it can work," and added "They don't seem to mind Noel not being on board, even though some fans won't regard it as a proper Oasis reunion. But as Noel wants no part in the band, it's the closest they are going to get to a full-scale comeback."
Liam Gallagher refused to comment on this latest news.
