Dave Grohl's fan letter written back when he was 14 has been dug up by Ian MacKaye, of the hardcore bands Minor Threat and Fugazi. Young Grohl was obviously a fan.

The letter was shared via the Foo Fighter's official Twitter, after Grohl revealed that MacKaye had found evidence of Grohl's early interest in the music bsuiness, asking for music contacts, presumably in an effort to kickstart his own musical career.

It reads:

'Good thrash. So I was wondering if you could give me some numbers of people to get in touch with. It would help. Thanx. 

- Dave Grohl'
