Disclosure have announced that their forthcoming album will be named Caracul, and will be released on 25 September.
After releasing new tracks from the upcoming LP like 'Holding On' just a few weeks ago, album artwork appearing mysteriously at Parklife festival, and teasing their fans with a video via their facebook page yesterday, Disclosure have finally released details of their new album.
The band announced the news before performing at their very own Wildlife festival in Brighton yesterday (7 June).
The peculiar album title, Howard Lawrence explains, is actually drawn from the name of an African Wildcat, otherwise known as an African Lynx. "I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity," he said. "It felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand too, so the Caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too."
Caracal will become the brother's second album, after the smash hit of 2013's Settle. Gregory Porter is already known to be featured on the LP, but Disclosure have already promised other 'big names.' The album is due for release on 25 September, but is up for pre-order now.
