Richard Branson's Virgin Money has announced a new set of credit cards featuring artwork from The Sex Pistols.
The bank, set up in 1995, said in a press release that it was "time for consumers to put a little bit of rebellion in their pocket", with Michele Greene, director of cards at Virgin, adding "We wanted to celebrate Virgin's heritage and difference. The Sex Pistolds challenged convention and the established way of thinking - just as we are doing today."
Three cards are set to be released, with two featuring desings from the band's 1977 album 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' and the third featuring the cover artwork from their hit single 'Anarchy In The UK'.
Sex Pistols signed to Virgin Records in May 1977, and Richard Branson, after this most recent collaboration with the band hailed their "power to provoke" as being "undimmed, even after 40 years."
The news has come at a time when Sex Pistolds frontman John Lydon is set to release the latest album by Public Image Ltd. along with a fresh host of new tour dates for this year, including dates in Glasgow, Manchester, London and more.
