Garbage icon Shirley Manson has never been one to pull any punches with those she can not abide, but neither has she been afraid to speak out for sexual liberation and gender equality.

Earlier this year, the rock icon took aim at Kanye West for being 'petty and spoilt' after his Beck-interrupting stunt at the GRAMMYs. While she may not approve of the 'fame-mongering' tactics of West's Kardashian relatives, she does held the utmost respect for one family member in particular.
Bruce Jenner made headlines, after coming out as transgender and becoming Caitlyn Jenner. Her stunning cover and bold interview on the latest Vanity Fair led to an outpouring of international support, and the respect of millions. Among them, is Shirley Manson - who admits to being in awe of her bravery, and 'incredible, beautiful' story.
"Obviously with the Kardashian situation, we're all a little sick of that family," Manson told Gigwise. "I think that's fair to say, it just smacks of so much narcissism and so much wealth and fame-mongering and so forth, but that said, now that Caitlyn Jenner is a female, it's one of the most incredible, moving, inpsiring moments of the last...I don't know how long."
She added: "It's incredible, beautiful and necessary."
