The Black Key's frontman Dan Auerbach has announced a new album for his new band The Arcs, and is streaming their new song 'Stay In My Corner'. Check it out below.
Dan Auerbach recently released details of his new band The Arcs and promised an 'extra weird' album coming from soon, after he spoke to The Rolling Stone about the finished LP. It will apparently feature two boxing related songs 'Stay In My Corner' and 'Tomato Can', both to be released on 7-inch vinyl.
Of the album, named Yours Dreamily, Auerbach said "I just wanted to do my thing and get extra weird," he said of the LP. "I wanted everything to flow [and] be cohesive. A lot of the songs bleed one into the other, a lot like the Grateful Dead – my favorite records that they did. So I’ve got a lot of connected songs. It's basically everything I love about music all wrapped up into one record – that’s all!"
Now the first single, 'Stay In My Corner' is available to stream.

The album was recorded in roughly two weeks in Brooklyn, through 'informal and spontaneous sessions' and members of The Arcs play a variety of roles and instruments within the band. The Arcs are made up of members Auerbach, Truth and Soul Records founder Leon Michels, the Black Keys touring bassist Richard Swift, Menahan Street Band member Homer Steinweiss, Amy Winehouse collaborator Nick Movshon, guitarist Kenny Vaughan, and all the members of all-female mariachi band Mariachi Flor de Toloache.
Auerbach revealed he would still be touring with The Black Keys over the summer before the album's release, after the band were forced to cancel due to Patrick Carney's shoulder injury. Next up The Black Keys are set to play Isle of Wight festival this weekend.
