Blur closed day two of Isle Of Wight Festival last night (13 June), with special guest Phil Daniels joining them for a rendition of 'Parklife'.
Despite having only recovered from a lost voice the day before, Damon Albarn prowled his way through the nearly two hour set, climbing into the crowd several times as the band blasted through their best known hits, woven inbetween samples of their latest album The Magic Whip.
Earlier on in the evening (which, after Friday's heavy rain, was surprisingly sunny) Pharrell performed an energetic set to a massive crowd - at one point inviting some members of the front row onstage, which provided the festival's first potentially viral moment as one woman took the invitation as a cue to wholeheartedly steal the spotlight.
Jess Glynne was forced to pull out of her afternoon slot due to illness, but was replaced by a vibrant and enthusiastic Ella Eyre, who managed to pull an impressive crowd. James Bay though, who followed, drew an even bigger one.
Jessie Ware provided one of the best sets of the day, playing songs from both of her albums - highlights included 'Tough Love', the eponymous track from her second album, and 'Wildest Moments'.
Unfortunately, Foxes' set suffered from technical problems - she spent much of the latter half attempting to adjust her ear-piece and gesturing to someone side of stage, and her vocals occasionally suffered as a result. She soldiered on though, and most of the crowd surely left none the wiser.
Isle Of Wight Festival comes to an end tonight with headliners Fleetwood Mac, as well as performances from Paolo Nutini, First Aid Kit and Courteeners.
