Iggy Pop has issued a statement declaring that he won't play any replacement shows for his upcoming Foo Fighters support slots, after the band were forced to cancel tour dates because of Dave Grohl's fractured leg.

Iggy was due to perform the main support slot at Grohl and co's Wembley Stadium dates, but after his fall in Sweden, Grohl has been forced into cancelling UK and EU dates - including Wembley and Glastonbury.

Iggy then took to Twitter to say that he wouldn't be able to host any replacement gigs for his cancelled appearances, and that fans would have to wait a little to see him until his next gig on June 27.

It was announced last night that the Foos would be pulling out of their Glastonbury headline slot after Grohl had undergone surgery and doctor's orders required him to cancel shows in order to get some rest. The official statement from the band says "Dave’s full recuperation time is still to be determined."

Grohl left a message on the the Foo Fighters site, apologising to fans for the hard decision he's had to make.

He signed it off:

"Until then…my sincerest apologies.

Your friend, Dave

PS…….Kanye…..Imma let you have this one…."

The following dates have now been cancelled:

JUNE
19-20 - London Wembley Stadium
23 - Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium
25 - Belgium Werchter Festivalpark
26 - Glastonbury Festival

A further announcement on ticket refunds and further information is due to be made on Friday June 19.
