US comedian Amy Schumer will support Madonna at her three forthcoming New York gigs this summer.
Schumer is perhaps best known for her comedy sketch series Inside Amy Schumer, and is also set to star in the Judd Apatow-directed film Trainwreck, which she also wrote.
Schumer will open for Madonna at Madison Square Garden on 16 and 17 September, and at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on 19 September. She announced the news via Twitter alongside a video of her as a child singing 'Like A Prayer'

Let's just hope, for the love of God, that Madonna doesn't attempt to resurrect her own short-lived stand-up career.
As NME reports, Madonna recently postponed five dates of her Rebel Heart tour, after conceding that the show was not ready yet. In a statement, she said, "As my fans already know, the show has to be perfect. Assembling all the elements will require more time than we realized. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause my fans. I can promise you this show will be worth the wait. Can't wait to share it with all my Rebel Hearts out there."
Madonna will also play five shows in the UK in December - though sadly, she'll be Amy Schumer-less. See full UK tour dates below. For tickets and more information, click here.
