Noel Gallagher and Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno have spoken out on Kanye West's controversial headline set at Glastonbury - saying that he started strong, but then they lost interest.
Yeezy's Pyramid Stage proved divisive among viewers, and while we also saw both sides of the argument, it looks like Noel G and Pizzorno also found positives and negatives to West's appearance.
"I thought for half an hour it was fucking outrageous. It looked amazing on my iPad, I have to say," Gallagher told NME. "For 30 minutes I thought, 'Wow, this is truly fucking amazing'. Then, like most hip-hop gigs, after 45 minutes you're going, 'I want something else now'. But for half an hour it was as good as it gets."
Speaking of Florence's brilliant Foo Fighters replacement slot, he added: "She should have been headlining in the first place."
Meanwhile, Kasabian guitarist Pizzorno voiced similar sentiments on West.
"We got home and I put it on and for the first 20 minutes I thought was incredible," he told NME. "I was really excited, you know, and then I just lost interest by the end, you know, which is a real shame".
He continued: "You know what it’s like with Glastonbury; it’s the opportunity to kind of right some wrongs, you know, prove people wrong, you know, prove yourself. Not that he has to, but it would’ve been nice if he’d maybe thought about it a bit more, you know? But it was funny seeing him on that cherry picker, like, hanging on for dear life and I thought 'There’s no way he’s rehearsed that'. You know what I mean?"
Pizzorno added: "It was quite funny seeing him get out of the harness for that 20 minutes, but, Kanye’s Kanye, you know, I don’t think he cares."
One star who certainly disagrees is Lily Allen, who shared a video of her burning a 'FUCK OFF KANYE' flag at Glastonbury.
