If, like many people, you were left a little underwhelmed by Sam Smith's recent Bond theme, we've got an alternative for you.

Smith revealed his contribution to the Bond theme canon, 'Writing's On The Wall', earlier this month. It's a stirring and poignant track, but it arguably lacks some of the heft of its predecessors.

Enter YouTube user DJ Poulpi. The mash-up wizard has put the vocals from Queens Of The Stone Age's 'No One Knows' onto the instrumentals of Adele's 'Skyfall' - which was her 2012 Oscar-winning contribution to the film of the same name. It works brilliantly.

As CoS points out, this adds further weight to the popular opinion that Queens Of The Stone Age should provide the next Bond theme.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Billboard, Dean Fertita, the Dead Weather and Queens of The Stone Age guitarist, revealed that "Queens of the Stone Age are starting up again." Whatever that means.
