The Weeknd has pleaded no contest to assault charges for punching a police officer in the head back in January.
TMZ reports that, the altercation allegedly took place at the beginning of this year in Las Vegas in the lobby at the Cromwell Hotel at 4:20am. Abel Tesfaye was engaged in a fight as authorities turned up to break up the squabble, they attempted to pull the singer into an elevator at which point Tesfaye reportedly punched an officer in the head.
Now, the 'Can't Feel My Face' singer has been ordered to pay a $1,000 fine to an injured cop fund, complete an anger management course, have alcohol evaluation and complete 50 hours of community service.
The case will be dismissed if Tesfaye meets of all the court's requirements and keeps out of trouble for a while.
