The newly reformed Busted might have just announced their 2016 reunion tour - something we didn't think would happen before the year 3000 (see what we did there?) - but the band don't currently have a record deal.
Despite Charlie Simpson repeatedly insisting that he would "never" rejoin his former band after they split in 2005, the band announced their reunion tour earlier this week. "This was something that no-one thought would happen," said Charlie Simpson in a new interview, "I've said multiple times that this will never happen, so it's a complicated story..."
Asked by Digital Spy if they have signed a record deal, Simpson admitted, ""That's still up in the air. We haven't really thought that far ahead. The main focus is getting the songs recorded."
"So far, we do not have a record deal," clarified Matt Willis, "but we do not know whether we're gonna sign one or not." Simpson then continued, "We're focussing on the tour in May, we're focussing on getting the new songs recorded... We might do it independently, we might not, it depends."
If you're worried that the new songs might overshadow the classic material though, do not far. "We are gonna play all the hits," Willis reassured fans. "You're gonna come and hear every Busted song you want to hear."
