Ahead of their forthcoming tour and off the back of their new album Wilder Mind, which included singles 'Believe' and 'The Wolf', Mumford & Sons have announced that they'll headline a night at Hyde Park's British Summer Time festival next summer. The aforementioned new songs are sure to make it onto the setlist.

Wolf Alice - whose debut album is nominated for a Mercury ahead of tonight's ceremony - and Alabama Shakes are set to support the band for the date, which takes place on Friday 8 July. It'll follow Mumfords' first ever visits to South Africa and South America.

The band's third studio album, Wilder Mind, reached No.1 in both the UK and the US when it was released back in May. In a statement, they said of the Hyde Park show, "Hyde Park for us: sacrificing hopes and dreams at the altar of Neil Young; being transported to another dimension by The National; supporting Arcade Fire (the best band in the world); playing alongside our mates The Vaccines; accidentally seeing Black Eyed Peas; wishing we were at Kylie.

"What a place. And this time we get to headline and pick a bill of sick artists to play with us. Alabama Shakes! Wolf Alice! Gentlewomen of the Road! We’re travelling all over at the moment, so having this massive gig to look forward to next Summer, right in the heart of our home city, is just awesome."

Meanwhile, Take That are also set to perform at British Summer Time next summer - they'll be headlining on 9 July.
