With this year's prize winner having only just been announced, bookmaker William Hill has already named The Stone Roses, Oasis and David Bowie among its favourites to win the Mercury Prize 2016. Other predictions include big-name nominees, such as Gorillaz, Daughter and Suede.
This year's Mercury Prize was won by the wonderful Benjamin Clementine on Friday 20 November, with the singer-songwriter's album At Least For Now beating Wolf Alice, Slaves and Jamie xx on the night.
The joint favourite nominations for the Mercury Prize 2016 are The Last Shadow Puppets, Bloc Party, Villagers, Metronomy, Savages and The xx, each of whom have odds of 10/1.
Radiohead, who recently announced that they are working on a new album, and David Bowie, who is currently riding the wave of his acclaimed latest album Blackstar, both have odds of 12/1. Meanwhile, on-again, off-again band Oasis are 20/1 to take the prize.
