Jack Garratt has been announced as the winner of this year's BRITs Critics' Choice Award. Beating up-and-coming artists Izzy Bizu and Frances, who are this year's runners up, the London-based artist-producer and songwriter will also be releasing his debut album Phase on 19 February.
The BRITs Critics' Choice Award, which launched in 2008, has since highlighted British Gold and Platinum selling talents, such as Adele, Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Tom Odell, Sam Smith, and James Bay.
Performing a sold-out UK tour this autumn, Garratt will also be supporting Mumford & Sons on their UK arena tour this month, before starting another headlining tour in 2016, including one night at London’s Brixton Academy in April.

Garratt, who will be receiving the award and performing at the BRITs Are Coming show on 14 January, will also be joined by Jess Glynne and Years & Years, who both have had an incredible year with No.1 albums in the charts.
Speaking about winning the award, Garratt said: “I am so humbled to have received this year’s BRITs Critics' Choice Award. To have been nominated alongside Frances and Izzy Bizu was already a huge honour and a testament to the calibre of new UK music. To have been given this award is truly mind-blowing, considering I am one name in a hugely exciting time for music in this country. Thank you to everyone who voted, it means so much to me.”
