Ice Cube revealed on a US talk show this weekend that he's set to reunite with his former N.W.A. bandmates at Coachella.
The influential hip hop group split up in 1991, with its most prominent living members - Ice Cube and Dr. Dre - parting on bad terms. Since then, they've made peace though, and there were even plans for a comeback album at the turn of the 21st century.
That album never appeared, but last year's N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton reignited the appetite for a reunion amongst fans. They'll be delighted, then, with what Ice Cube said on The Talk over the weekend.
Speaking of his forthcoming Coachella appearance, the rapper said, "I've got some tricks up my sleeves... I'm gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I've been doing over the years."
As Consequence Of Sound reported, Ice Cube also teased that his set will include "some great visuals." We'd like to support CoS's hopeful prediction that it'll be an Eazy-E hologram, like Dr. Dre did with Tupac a few years ago.
Meanwhile, check out the rest of the Coachella line-up below.
