Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders played David Bowie's 'Starman' at the end of his campaign speech this week. Watch it below.
As Pitchfork reports, this week sees the first major electoral event of the exhaustive run-up to the presidential elections - the Iowa caucus. The aim of this is to eventually whittle down each party to just one candidate, and at the moment it's between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
During his speech in Des Moines, after reaching a rousing climax, Sanders played David Bowie's 'Starman' as he walked off. The song, of course, is made particularly poignant given that Bowie died last month.
Meanwhile, many high profile musicians have endorsed Sanders in his quest for the presidency, including Angel Haze, Vampire Weekend, Neil Young, Thurston Moor and more.
