Prince passport photo is amazing, pays tribute to protege Vanity Photo: WENN

Most people's passport photo - no matter how much effort you exert trying to make it flawless - ends up somewhere between local simpleton and serial killer. Not Prince's.

The Purple One is bringing his Piano And A Microphone Tour to Australia this month, and evidently needed to update his passport for the long journey.

The resulting photo, which he uploaded to his own Twitter account (because, why wouldn't you?) is ridiculously flawless.

Meanwhile, the musician paid tribute to late singer Vanity at his Melbourne gig last night (16 February). His former protege, whose real name was Denise Matthews, died aged 57 from kidney failure this week.

Speaking to the crowd last night, Prince said, "Her and I used to love each other deeply. She loved me for the artist I was, I loved her for the artist she was trying to be. She and I would fight. She was very headstrong 'cause she knew she was the finest woman in the world. She never missed an opportunity to tell you that."
