While we await news of Kanye West's new album The Life Of Pablo receiving a proper release, new figures show that the recorded has so far been illegally downloaded through torrent sites over 500,000 times.
Yeezy finally released the album via TIDAL at the weekend, before removing it from sale again to 'finish it' - and claim that he was $53million in debt, asking Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg for help. There are now reports that the album may forever remain a TIDAL exclusive, and never receive a full and traditional release.
As a result, The Pirate Bay has so far seen over half a million illegal downloads of the album, eports the BBC, while Ernesto from Torrent Freak added: “Generally we don’t track music releases closely, so I’m not calling any records.
“However, I haven’t seen numbers this high before for a music release – not with Adele either.”
