Rihanna has addressed constant rumours of a Beyonce feud, saying, "[The internet] just get so excited to feast on something that's negative."
The musician released her much-anticipated new album, ANTI, last month. At around the same time, Beyonce surprise-released new song and video, 'Formation' - a move some people saw as an attempt to steal Rihanna's thunder.
"Here's the deal," said Rihanna in a new interview with Vogue, "They just get so excited to feast on something that's negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that."
She also discussed her decision to create unisex designs for her work with Puma, and spoke of a wider ambition to inspire women. "Women feel empowered when they can do the things that are supposed to be only for men, you know?" she said. "It breaks boundaries, it’s liberating, and it’s empowering when you feel like, Well, I can do that, too."
