The Libertines joined John Cale onstage in Paris this weekend to perform The Velvet Underground's 'White Light / White Heat'. Watch footage below.

Cale played his former band's classic album, The Velvet Underground & Nico, in full on Sunday night (3 April), and he was joined by special guests such as Animal Collective, Mark Lanegan and Etienne Daho.

As NME reports, amongst the biggests guests of the night were The Libertines' Carl Barat and Pete Doherty, who joined Cale for a rendition of 'White Light / White Heat' - while Lou Doillon came onstage for album highlight 'Femme Fatale'.
