Grime artists have come out on Twitter paying tribute to a young MC called MDot who was stabbed in Lewisham in South London last night (3 April).
At only 17 years old, MDot, or Myron Yarde, had already made an impression on grime artists such as Novelist and Giggs.
Sky News has reported that the police believe the incident happened following an “altercation”. Scotland Yard has confirmed that police officers were called to the area of New Cross Road in Lewisham at around 7:41pm. They found Yarde in the nearby Camplin Street, from there he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died at 9:04pm
The first of Grime artists to come out and publicly pay tribute to the aspiring musician was Novelist, saying: “"Just last week I called telling MDOT I'm gonna bring him studio and life's getting better. My heart man, he was just tryna live. RIP MDOT."
