Bad news for Arctic Monkeys fans - Alex Turner says you could be waiting quite a while for a new album and the follow-up to AM.
The band's last record was the mass-selling and Mercury nominated AM from 2013, but Last Shadow Puppet Turner says that there's 'no rush' to return with new songs any time soon.
"Is there any plans?" Turner said to Radio X about returning to the studio witht the Monkeys. "There isn't really no. Not yet."
But that's not to say it's not on its way...
"There will be [a new album] at some point," he added. "We'll see with that. No rush."
Turner is fresh from performing a blistering set at Glastonbury 2016, where Last Shadow Puppets proved a highlight of the weekend when they paid tribute to David Bowie on the main stage.
