While they've been in the spotlight for a little over 10 years, Parkway Drive had never played Reading Festival until last week. Gigwise sat down with the band's frontman, Winston McCall, backstage at Reading and asked him how the band has stayed together for as long as they have without any personnel changes, aside from the two right at the beginning:
"Don't be a dickhead," he said followed by a huge grin. "We're friends, and when we had the changes in the first place we decided we'd rather get a mate in and be slightly/very crap at what he does and him work than get a random person who's very good and us never having that chemistry and connection."
Also discussing their latest album, Ire, whether or not new music is coming anytime soon, and if he had Googled the band recently, Winston also made it clear that while there's been a lot of speculation over the years that he is the long lost brother of Every Time I Die singer Keith Buckley, he is in fact not related to him.
