Outkast haven’t relased a proper studio album since Speakerboxx/ The Love Below in 2003. But Gucci Mane just posted a Snapchat video indiscreetly revealing that he has collaborated with Andre 3000 and Big Boi.
“I just did a redcord for OutKast,” he says in the video as before going: "I just did a record for Wayne, I just did a record for Boosie, I just did a record for Project Pat, I just did a record for E-40.”
This is the only evidence we have to suggest that a record is being made but with OutKast. But it wouldn’t be to surprising if something is in the works. Both are active in their separate ways. André 3000 teamed up with Kanye for The Life of Pablo track ’30 Hours’ earlier this year. Last month, Big Boi – who is currently working on his next solo record – announced that he is working on a collaborative EP with Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike.
They’re also not adverse to the reunion because in 2014 they did a 20th anniversary tour. Although Andre 3000 did later come forward and say he felt like a sell out. It’s unlikely, however, if they have new music out that he’ll feel that way - there's integrity in getting new stuff heard.
So Gucci Mane did a feature for outkast. We getting a new song or new album or what? 🤔🤔🤔 pic.twitter.com/JW8xE3lj2i

Meanwhile, between spring 2014 and spring 2016, Gucci released a string of albums from prison. In 2014 alone, he released over twelve projects and made $1.3 million from behind bars.
When he was released from Prison in May 2016 Gucci released the first single under his new deal with Atlantic Records "First Day Out Tha Feds".
He was charged for firearm possession by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, and marijuana possession, among others.
