The rumour mill was rife at CNN's election party. As the results came rolling in slowly, a handful of journalists tweeted something quite suprising.
It is no secret that Matt Bellamy has been one to buck the trend in recent years, but even this one came as bit of a shock.
The general consensus around the music world with regards to Brexit, was that it was a bad move politically.
Brexit was also seen as something that could potentially harm the chances of smaller bands touring Europe.
So when news flittered through the Twittersphere that Matt Bellamy had actually voted for Brexit, it probably left a few Muse fans bemused:
So, what have we learnt so far tonight? At the CNN party it turns out that @MattBellamy, the lead singer of Muse voted for Brexit. 🍾

It has been something of a landmark year for Muse. All summed up by the fact that they went ahead and broke a record at Glastonbury.Political stance is completely separate from the world of music, but it was an anti-Brexit consensus that flittered through the festival.
Yet, with the use of retrospect, as all musicians at the festival had something to say regarding the festival, Muse were awfully quiet during their headline set.
