There’s already quite a crossover between music fans and Stranger Things fans - given the brilliantly creepy score and perfect ‘80s soundtrack… and it seems that crossover applies to the cast too.
From Steve’s turn in a Tame Impala-style psych band to Dustin’s Broadway pipes to Eleven’s Amy Winehouse karaoke, they’re all at it.
Stop being so bloody talented, guys.
Finn Wolfhard, AKA Mike Wheeler
The 13-year-old, who plays kind-hearted nerdy kid, sister of Nancy and best friend of the show’s hero Eleven, Mike Wheeler, uploaded this guitar cover of Nirvana’s Lithium. It’s gone down so well, he’s promised to upload a full-length cover of ‘About A Girl’. Watch this space.

Millie Bobby Brown, AKA Eleven
This video is a revelation not just because we had no idea that Eleven’s English in real life, but because she manages to pull off a cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘You Know I’m No Good’ - no easy feat. We’ll ignore how inappropriate the lyrics to the second verse are.
Gaten Matarazzo, AKA Dustin Henderson
Matarazzo plays adorable lispy kid Dustin, but he started out his career in Les Miserables on Broadway - and has an incredible musical theatre voice. Case in point, his rendition of ‘Bring Him Home’ at what seems to be some sort of bowling alley karaoke.
Joe Keery, AKA Steve Harrington
Keery, who plays the mildly irritating ‘cool’ guy Steve, is the summer in a Chicago-based band called Post Animal. They sound very, very similar to Tame Impala.
Charlie Heaton, AKA Jonathan Byers
Heaton plays the loner older brother of the missing Will Byers, and Winona Ryder’s son, in the series, but he’s actually English and was the drummer (another drummer!) for the band Comanechi before embarking on his acting career.
